REFINEMENT

FOILING

  • GLOSS FOILING
Application of transparent gloss foil on a paper. Possibility of making with hot or wet method. Process executed after printing.
  • MATT FOILING
Application of transparent matt foil on a paper. Possibility of making with hot or wet method. Possibility of combination with technology of selective gloss varnishing or specialized. Process executed after printing.
  • SOFT TOUCH FOILING
Application of matt, velvet in touch, foil on paper. Increased resistance of foil for scratches. Foil boosts coloring. Process executed after printing.

VARNISHING

  • SELECTIVE UV VARNISHING, GLOSS AND MATT
Gloss and matt varnishing, is an application of the varnish from the screen into strictly specified place. Process is executed after printing and can be combined with technology of foiling.

HOT-STAMPING

Hot-stamping also referred to as thermal printing, gilding, silvering is a technique of printing with usage of hot-stamp foil and convex matrix made of heat conductive material. This is done by covering of certain parts of ground with metallic foil or pigment foil, on which there is a layer of hot melt adhesive. Throughout strong press of the punch, image is being transferred on the ground and metallic layer of foil sticks to exact shape of the matrix. Hot-stamping is being used for refinement of printing, decorating of items, marking, securing of printing (especially holographic foils). Foil can has gold color (with different shade and gloss) or it is colorful with metallic gloss or matt.

PRESSING

• It is a process similar to gilding, with such difference that foil is not being used, only it extrudes matrix of images into ground. It is old and very effective technique of refinement. Achieved results depends in a large degree, from the choice of ground used in pressing and from a precision of used punches. We differentiate two basic kinds of pressing: concave and convex.
